Alina Dvortsen MSN, PMHNP-BC
Aloha! I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who believes mental health care should look at the whole person, not just symptoms. I work collaboratively with each patient to find what truly works for them, blending thoughtful medication management (when appropriate) with lifestyle changes, nervous system support, and practical tools for everyday life.
I work with adults 18 and older of all genders, with a strong background in women’s mental health. My therapeutic style integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based approaches, and supportive therapy. I also incorporate practices such as meditation and breathwork to help strengthen emotional regulation and resilience.

David Hobbs, PhD
Aloha!
I have practiced as a licensed psychologist or more than 25 years, primarily utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy as an effective tool for treating anxiety and depression.
As depression and anxiety can be emotionally debilitating conditions, addressing
these issues can improve one’s overall sense of well-being, and thus their lives, dramatically.
In addition to my many years of experience in counseling/psychotherapy, I have
been employed as a neuropsychologist. Therefore I’ve developed an understanding of how neurological conditions such as ADHD, Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Multiple Sclerosis affect the brain and behavior, including with
regards to emotional self-regulation.
My patient-centered approach is solution focused, with an emphasis on mindfulness and active listening. I aspire to help others in finding their purpose. I also have experience in working with populations of individuals over 20 years of age, those who are spiritually focused, Veterans, LGBTQ+, as well as those from international backgrounds.
Katie De Ment, LMHC
Aloha!
My name is Katie and I have been working as a therapist for the last 14 years in Hawaii.
My therapy clients are the bravest people I know. It takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable and share our inner thoughts and feelings. I am inspired to work with clients who are looking to develop a deeper connection with themselves, their bodies and the world around them. In order to make lifestyle changes we can look to the words of Viktor Frankl- "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response, and in our response lies our growth and freedom." Creating a safe and therapeutic space for those who need support and guidance through the ups and downs of life is my goal. I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy and Yoga Nidra.
I aim to help clients develop more self awareness, self care and insight that will enable them to shift perspectives, strengthen relationships with themselves and others, and find peace and meaning in the present moment. I truly believe that way we breathe is the way we live. To be more in tune with our breath can be transformational. Our breath is the only thing in this human existence that we can truly control. It is a powerful tool that we can use to regulate and ground ourselves in the present moment.
